A NOTE ON READING ORDER

I began my career writing historical fiction about imaginary protagonists.  I strove for historical authenticity in the stories but the main players were fictitious. Characters who actually lived tended to be a part of the historical backdrop, even while having their part to play.  I am sometimes asked by new readers – and some established ones too –  if there is a particular order in which they should read my books.  The answer is mostly ‘It’s up to you’ but below I have listed the books that link together if you feel so inclined.
